It's September already and sadly this is the warmest the weather has been all year. Sara, our second year intern, is back to school and it is just Gord, Tiffany, and myself in the pharmacy again. I am still working two days a week for Cypress Health Region as Primary Health Care Pharmacist for Leader and Maple Creek, and I have just been hired to a contract position with RxFiles as academic detailer for Swift Current and the southwest area. This newest position will only be a few days a month; I will visit area physicians to discuss health topics that are in the RxFiles newsletter. More on that once I get started.
We are still looking for another pharmacist. The newest pharmacist would spend 2.5 days a week in the pharmacy and 2.5 days a week at the clinic and nursing home in Leader. We will be attending the pharmacy student career fair in Saskatoon October 3, hopefully we can impress the 4th year students enough that one or more of them is interested in joining us once they graduate next June. Cross your fingers.
